Do I need one rocker for each instrument?

With gamertag “A”, I’ve created a drummer character named “Dude”.
If I got it right, “Dude” will always play drum.

If I want to play guitar or sing with gamertag “A”, I need to create another character ?
Am I right ?


Also, if we are four people playing with each our own gamertag...if we want to change instrument after each song, we have to log everybody out of their gamertag and log them in on another instrument ?
And create one drummer, one singer and one guitarist character under each gamertag ???

Hmm, not sure how it works on 360. On PS3, me and my roommate play under my PSN tag. We have 2 guitarists, 2 vocalists, and 2 drummers. Guitarists can play bass or lead. When we go in to QuickPlay we can hit select rocker and it will list all of the rockers we've saved for that instrument. So, I dunno how it works on 360, but swapping out characters is really simple on PS3.

what ive done :

ive created rocker A-B-C-D on 4 differents gamertag...so now....any gamertag has any rockers....but that still sucks....cause i have rocker A-b-c-d 4 times !

I have rockers A, B, C, D under my main tag... then anyone who comes over signs in under the "guest" account and gets access to my A, B, C, D.

IMHO that's the best way to handle it... once you start making extra profiles and gamertags it becomes a total mess.

The 360's profile system is a dubious process at best.

I am having a RB party this weekend, and I am trying to figure out the best way to do this myself (XBOX 360). So, when you say create all the Rockers under my main account, does that mean I have to create 3 separate "guest accounts" on my 360 or can they join as guests after the game has started (sorry, I am very confused) :confused:
