Hello everyone, first post so don't bite my head off! :o

I bought the 'Band in a Box' a couple of days ago (Rock Band 2 drums aren't out in the UK yet, so it's the RB1 setup) and can't help but think I need some pads/silencers on the drums. Not just because they make a slightly irritating sound, but because the grey rubber seems to dent slightly after being hit, not sure this is a good sign?!

However, it appears that I have the EL drumset (reading around suggests this isn't great) which is less sensitive than the QM set. Now I'm not looking to go 100% on Expert, RB for me is just something to have a laugh on with friends and family. So, with this in mind, will putting pads on the EL set make it even less sensitive and thus unplayable? Or will it be fine as long as I'm not expecting to become a drum God?

Any suggestions for pads to put on an EL set would be good, experience with EL sets also welcomed.

Cheers (and they really should release a Def Leppard Track Pack ;))

Go to your local store, and buy 4 cheap, thin mouse pads, and cut them into circles, and use adhesive or tape to keep them down. Mine were black, I had the EL.

It really quiets down, and for me my EL was just as, if not more sensitive.

Good luck.
