A few weeks ago, two Pennsylvania men attempted to set a world-record for number of text messages sent in a month. They managed to type out 217,000 during the month of March. Quite an impressive, if somewhat lame, feat.
Unfortunately for those two, Guinness World Records has yet to contact them about making their achievement an official record. It’s even more unfortunate now that a new contender has arrived on the texting-world-record scene.
Crystal Wiski is a teenager from Sacramento, California, and she managed to churn out over 300,000 texts in one month. When reached for comment, her thumbs said, “OWWWWWWWW!!!!”
The local NBC News affiliate breaks down the staggering output into more (or less?) comprehensible proportions, explaining that to achieve such a massive number, Crystal was cranking out over “10,000 messages a day, 421 minutes an hour and seven texts a minute.”
And given the fact that she also happens to be straight-A student and her iPhone’s unlimited texting plan kept her from having to pay a $30,000-plus phone bill, it seems there are no negative side effects to her texting mania. Sweet deal.

I've sent 54 texts since April 3rd.
I don't mind texting, I just don't usually do it, I usually only text girls I'm trying to get with (nothing so far... (http://www.cosplay.com/i/costumes/200/72971.jpg)).

You best be trolling--that's about a million texts about every two weeks.

Texts > Voicemail. You can quickly and quietly send off a message and be sure they get it.

All depends on what I'm doing. I text a lot in class cause no offence... but I don't learn anything by some teacher reading over something that I'm just going to have to read over.

I usually do around 500 a month. Most of those are texting one of my best friends (It gets annoying when I call him. He'll be texting his girlfriend, and in the middle of the call "HOLD ON I GOT A TEXT!"

I've managed around 1000 and I've heard of 6-7k...but this is just ridiculous.

I'm on 02 and i get Bolt On's which give you either 300,1000 or 12,000 texts a month...depending on how much you top up..
Currently i have 11,600 texts left.
I did manage 1000 once though.
I think i've got like 20 days to keep texting.
