View Full Version : Does anybody's Wii and Rockband work perfectly?

Do your instruments all hook up perfectly the first time? Does your SD card work without a hitch? Mine just seems to not work right. Half the time the microphone does not connect. I unplug things and plug them back in randomly and eventually it works. Seems to be no rhyme or reason to it though. The SD card seems to lose data. Songs randomly disappear. Does anyone's work seamlessly?

Every once in a while (like, once a month) I have to unplug and replug in my drums. My mic will not work occasional, gotta, re-plug it, too.
Otherwise, no, everything else is 100% A-OK.

Never had an issue... Besides the random infinite-loading online between songs in a setlist that forces a reboot. But this happens like once in a 100 mystery setlists.

I've never had any major problems. A few issues after the 4.0 update, but nothing that ever seemed to be RB's fault.
I'm also using GH:WT instruments with it though...

This is likely pecular to my setup, but I've found that I have to plug the instruments into the USB hub in the following order (left to right): mic, RB1 Strat dongle, RB2 drum dongle. The Strat doesn't get much use, mostly the odd guest who prefers it to the GH instruments. Otherwise, most people use our Genericaster and I use my Les Paul.
Using the 4GB Transcend SD card without a hitch, unless you count the "unseat card, start RB2, get to loading screen, reseat card" routine. Mildly annoying, but worth it for the breathing room. Perhaps this issue will be cleared up with our next f/w upgrade.

RB2 crashed in the loading screen once in the 4 months I had it for the Wii.
Outside of an occasional lag issue, and a few sparse graphical glitches, it did everything well.

my mic wasn't working when I first got RB1, but that was my mic just having a hiccup and nothing to do with the game, so can't help you I'm afraid.
The only actual game-related issue I've had was the game crashing once while I was loading up GGAHT on vox, but a simple reset cured that.

Oh yeah, forgot about the Loading issue. Every once in a while (seems always to be when loading a DLC song) the Loading screen will freeze... forcing a reboot. But easily is fixed and very very veyr rarely pops up.
But hey, no game's perfect, right?

The infinite loading screen, I've seen this half a dozen times since I got the game.

*Knocks on wood*
My RB2 bundle worked out of the box and has continued without a hitch - mic, guitar, drums, no problems. 4GB Transcend nonHC SD card working like a charm too (also with the very-occasional unseat-reseat at startup routine mentioned earlier).
Game has frozen once in a while coming out of the screensaver/demo mode song-with-animation if I walk away from it for a while, but nothing serious.
