Hey guys, I know that there's already a Mother's Day thread up right now, but I didn't see one like this.

Since it's Mother's Day, post a thing or two about what makes your mom awesome. I'll start.

My mom is awesome because she always finds the time to give me help with whatever (right now that's my engineering presentation). She also has great taste in music (which is why the Offspring's greatest hits CD is blasting through the house right now from her CD player.) :cool:

My mom is wonderful, caring, compassionate, and was always a great role model for my brother and I growing up.

My mom was a groupie for the band AC/DC.

(just kiddin').

She just rocks. She just paid for 1/3 of my new fridge I bought before-last weekend. :D

my mom tolerates all the Lamb Of God, God Forbid, and Children Of Bodom that blasts from my room, and that's good enough for me :p

She's also an intern for Target Ganassi Racing. I'm not a huge racing fan, but any job where you get to hang out with Dario Franchitti from time to time is pretty cool.

She's also a big roller-coaster fan and we just got King's Island season passes. (I rode this before her though http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTSGzLwCEh8 :p she was at work)

My mom went to Woodstock and arrived just after the crowd tore down the "fence", so she still has a completely intact ticket for the show. She has a meal ticket too, although it's really just one of those red raffle ticket things. Not nearly as interesting as the actual concert ticket.

She also went to see The Beatles at JFK in '66.

She encouraged me to listen to all of her albums growing up. I learned my first curse word listening to Country Joe and the Fish on the Woodstock album, appreciated my first rippin' riffs with Cream, and learned to love lyricists through Donovan.

My mom, in a word, rocks.
