I've been experimenting with getting as few stars/points as possible. The ultimate goal was to try and pass a song with a 0 star rating and without failing out.

I don't believe that it is possible... my best so far is about 1.3 stars using the drum set... it is a fun type of experiment.

Anyone tried this yet?

I thought about this, never actually tried. Though I did get like 2.5 stars on a song on guitar and that was when I was actually trying.

Haven't actually tried this, but the line that seems to make the most sense is as follows:

- play minimally until overdrive phrases. Hit every overdrive to max out your bar.
- don't play fills
- finish off one fill when you're close to failing so that you can hit every one in three notes or so to replenish your bar at a quicker pace.
- hope you're close enough to the end of the song that you don't have to repeat

Yeah I was pretty amazed when one of the first times I played with my wife - Her on drums me on guitar... She failed out of the song completely and I was still able to keep the crowd just long enought to finish the song with two stars....

Crazy!

On hard/expert it can be quite challenging to do bad enough to get 2 stars while not failing.

I think 0-1 might only be feasible on easy difficulty... have another idea I might try tonight.

Awesome idea, I never would have thought of it :)

I'm totally trying that this weekend. Competition to be the most skillfully sucky, I love it!

Now this is disappointing, I passed easy/vocals with a 31%, 7/8ths of a star, and the final score sheet rounded it up to a 1 star performance.

The glory of my accomplishment-failure is DENIED.

How could the programmers be so unreasonable... I demand a patch for this issue ASAP* !!!!

With 2 players you'd want a stopwatch to extend the person's death as long as possible before bringing them back.

I'm with Apples on this one. I want to be rewarded for my miserable performance with the 0-star rating that I deserve!

I'm fully confident that Harmonix will be rolling out this patch within the hour. No pressure guys. :p

I'd much rather try to get as many stars as I can sorry!
