As the title says I love baseball. I watch it on TV whenever i can, and I would morely love to go to the game myself.
I've never liked sports games on the console, but MLB 2K9 changed that. Well baseball games anyways. I don't know, I played the demo, loved it. Then I played the actual game, Fell in love with it.
What's the deal?
I think there is a baseball thread floating around.......

ive never liked sports video games bc whether you make a shot (basketball) hit a homerun or have one hit on you or whatever (baseball) catch a pass, fumble, or throw an interception (football) and so on is completely decided by the AI when you are playing against the AI.

It's weird.
I mean, I like baseball, but i'm not obsessed with it. I'll barely talk about it. I just like watching it and playing MLB 2K9.
I also got the game at Best-Buy for $33 when it was sold for $40. I got $7 off because of the RZ Gamers Club thing. Pretty Sweet actually!
Ahhh I misunderstood your post! Don't mind me.

I like watching football and soccer. I like playing soccer, and like playing soccer and football games on xbox.

Yeah I almost have an inverse relationship between what I play outside and video games. I like to play and watch football, but I can't stand playing football video games. Except for golf, I like both forms. IDK, maybe I just don't play sports games much.

I went through the "I like baseball" phase for a while too. That quickly changed back to "baseball is freakin boring as hell".

mlb 2k9 is terribad. i bought it because its the only thing out on 360. the show is a bazillion times better. as a matter of fact mlb 2k8 was kind of bad and 2k9 made a gigantic leap backwards.

Baseball is also my favorite sport to play and watch.
If you're into baseball games, MLB 09:The Show is the best that there is. It's worth to go out and get a PS3 just for that game.

If the PS3 ever has a price cut. I believe the 80GB is 400 bucks right now. I bought mine for 500.
Just being a little over-enthusiastic about the game. Absolutely fantastic game. Worth every penny. Although the Mets' Citi Field is a little sketchy compared to what it's like in real-life.

It also helps that the PS3 has a built in blu-ray player. You'll never experience movies the same way again. Yeah, I'm a PS3 fanboy, but can you blame me?:D

Ugh. MLB 2K9 is a joke of a game. But I'll let you pass since you seem to not have played better.
It's pretty obvious who I like to play as.

They just lost when they should of won:(. Yesterday's game felt like the end of last year. Santana is getting zero run support and Reyes made a huge error which cost them the game. There goes the 7-game win streak

Btw, how are the marlins doing? The last time I checked they lost 4 of 5.
Back down to earth I presume after that hot start.

Yeah, I watched that Mets game last night. Santana was dominant, as always (Halladay and he are in a league of their own, Greinke's not there yet, just like Cliff Lee wasn't last year).
Biggest surpise team of the year has to be the Toronto Blue Jays, and not just because I live in Canada. You can question their start, but what would you rather be? 22-11 or 11-22 at this point? You can only beat the teams that are put in front of you.
I also got awesome news. I'll be heading down to the Rogers Centre July 17 and 18, the two first games after the All Star Break to see the Jays vs the Red Sox, I'm so pumped.

Santana is the best pitcher in baseball right now. He should easily be 6-0 right now if it wasn't for sloppy defense and no runs.

No, he's on a cold-spell. Like 3 for his last 33 or something. So they took him out of the lineup. Jeremy Reed is starting now in RF.

church is a really solid player. the mets have yanked him around so much they were bound to destroy his confidence

I think ever since Gary Sheffield came into the mix, he's been getting less and less playing time. Church deserves more time. He's a great player when he's playing every day. He was batting over 300 and he's arguably the 2nd best defensive outfielder behind Beltran. Reed's a good player, but he doesn't have the best bat. Sheffield has power, but can't hit for average and can't play outfield. Church needs to start. Mandolph better get him in tonight.

His game all around is great. He's got everything especially defense which the marlins seem to be lacking.

corner infield has been ok. cantu at first minimizes his damage ocnsiderably and bonifacio is play very well. hermida has pretty poor defense but LF is small in miami. cody ross in RF plays like a friggin stud. he get greats jumps and a good arm.
we'll take what we can get with hanley defensively ;)
and ugla isnt justifying his limited range with his bat anymore.

I don't know really. It was the name that popped into my head that was relatively close to the actual name.
Don't make it sound like i'm an idiot. I hate that.
I don't know all the team names, and frankly i don't care.
