How do I get two guitars working?

I have Guitar Hero III and RockBand and was wondering how i get my guitar hero guitar to work with rockband. It will connect but when I hit to join a band it will connect as a mic (vocal). The guy at the store said the guitar was compatible so if you could let me know if thats true and how to get it working I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I can vouch for the fact that the Xbox 360 GH3 guitar will work with RB. Unfortunately, the RB guitar does not work with GH3. As for how to make it work, I can't shed much light there other than the fact that it was just plug and play for my system.

Sorry I forgot to mention that i have PS3. Im not concerned about the RB guitar working for GH3 i just bought GH3 becuase i wanted another guitar for RB. Anyword on if it works for PS3?? Im wondering why it wont connect for me. Thanks

It only works for the 360. There is no other guitar except the official one that works for the PS3.

...and yet I can't get 2 RB guitars to work on PS3 either. Anyone know how to sync up two official RB guitars? I can only get one to come on, I can choose which one however so i know they both work.

You have 2 Dongles plugged in as well and synced up as seperate controllers?
And as for the GH3 controller not working... HMX confirmed a patch, but they aren't guarenteeing that they are making it compatable.
