The problems I experience while on Xbox Live only occur with Rock Band 2, thus why I have come to this board. The problems I will explain have been happening for 4 weeks now with no indications of improving.
First I have done everything to my router to forward all ports, disable firewalls and all that is needed to properly run Xbox Live. And I have the same router I have been using for over a year with the same Internet, nothing has changed on my end. The Problems are as follows:
I am unable to join any games I am invited to as well as Xbox Live Parties. I accept the invitation immediately after receiving it, however a few seconds later an Xbox message pops up saying "Unable to connect, the invitation may have expired." My friends tell me they receive the same errors whenever I invite them to my games. The only way I am able to play online is through match making which does seem to take way too long to find a group. Upwards of 10 mins. at times, unless there isn't many people that play this game anymore which i doubt is true.
Sometimes when I go to play online, the second I enter the Xbox Live section of the game, I am automatically kicked back to the main menu with the error "You have lost connection to Xbox Live" even though I have not.
The Rock Band 2 main menu will very often say "You are unable to access Rock Central while not connected to Xbox Live" or something like that. It says this error while I am currently connected. I know I am connected because I can send and receive messages as well as download new songs for the game with no problems. The only way to fix this problem is sign out then back in and repeat as many times as it takes before Rock Central begins to connect. At which point I have sat at the main menu for upwards of 15 mins. looking at "Connecting to Rock Central" All the while this is going on, I am unable to look at leader boards, and unable to participate in Battle of the Bands.
