So did anybody watch the House MD season Finale? It was great, with a great twist. This last 3 episode story arc is one of the best I've seen in the entire series. Try to watch the two episodes before it.
Oh, and it ends with a Rolling Stones song, just like last season. :D

Yeah, I loved it. I watched the last few minutes kinda shocked. It was a damn good twist.

I on the other hand thought it was a terrible season finale and thought the twist was lame and predictable.

k, even though a similar thing has been done before, this was nicely well done IMO, this is one of the highlights of the season, the only part that felt a bit predictable was the problems between Chase and Cameron. I'll be interested in how the next season will start...

For me it was a bit more of a hindsight predictability. After it was over I thought that I should have seen it coming, but I didn't. The fact that none of it was real caught me off guard.

Indeed. There were signs, but I have to say, if it didn't catch me initally then it was a successful twist.

Honestly, other than the last 10 minutes, it seemed like any other regular episode of House, and not a finale. The last 10 minutes were awesome, though.

I've missed too many episodes of the new season, so when I happened to catch the season finale, I had no idea what was going on for the last 10 minutes.

You only really need to go 2 episodes before it to actually make any sense. They should've made this a 3 parter or something.

I agree. The tension between House and Cuddy was awesome. Makes you wonder if those 2 would ever "Date" kinda like on Bones with Dr. Brennan and Agt. Booth.

The best season finale EVER(Or top 3) was Chuck Season 2.
And the House twist was not bad but meh :/
Go watch Weeds, Season 2 finale. Thats how you do a proper season ending.
THAT was a good ending...... but then the season 3 opener felt like a big let down after such an awesome ending to the last season.
The ending to the second season of Breaking Bad looks like it's going to be a doozy. If anyone hasn't seen Breaking Bad.... you are seriously missing out

That's not really true. The whole episode as building to two things:
1) The potential collapse of the wedding.
2) The potential birth of House/Cuddy's relationship.
The tension in #2 was building up to a boiling point, with the obvious release coming in the closing minutes of the season. The twist (the fact that he had finally snapped and created a new reality) was just icing on the cake.
PS: Kutner's cameo was a definate "Oh s**t" moment, when you new that House had officially lost it. Especially since this whole time I figured they were using Amber because Kutner was unavailable to play the role.

Exactly. I was blown away with that finale but then season 3 started up and it was kinda boring.

Agreed!
I loved this season finale. I thought it was stupid all along for Cameron to keep the sperm, but Chase got over it.....I'm sad that Kutner left but, he's doing what hes gotta do. House being schizo? kinda interesting. Silly tho, cause if that was real life he wouldn't be able to practice medicine anymore. I thought they should have kept it as him and Cuddy having a relationship, but this will be an interesting season premiere. I can't wait!

That ending was extremely trippy. I can't wait for the new season.
edit: Come to think of it, the ending reminded me a lot of a part in Final Fantasy VII, where the truth is revealed about the story Cloud told the rest of the guys in Kalm Town, where it's actually Zack doing everything.
I wouldn't be surprised if the writers decided to borrow that plot device, where you think it's what really happened until it actually reveals to you the truth about it.

That's probably true in that Kutner couldn't have been used as much as Amber has been...but you've got to know that House still feels guilty about what happened to her. He deflects and rationalizes, but you know he still felt bad. I haven't paid attention, but it'd be interesting to rewatch the episodes since then and see if they subtly show House becoming more dependent on the drugs.

Yeah the ending itself was predictable (House going to the phsyc hospital) but the whole Cuddy thing being all in his head was pretty cool.
I've like the House going crazy storyline, its been kinda different and made the show feel like less of the same old thing. I never really cared about HAVING to see House as soon as the torrent comes out (like I would with Lost, Weeds, Heroes etc) but recently I've been making sure I get it ASAP. They must be doing something right.

I've been thinking for a while that the formula has been all wrong for House. A majority of the show's time is spent on the medical mystery aspect, yet the most intriguing plot elements are these arching drama storylines that they sprinkle in very sparsely. For example, the House vs. Tritter duel a few seasons ago was quite compelling.

actually, that's the formula they've been working in ever since Season 2, the medical mystery is there, because it has to be there, and episode just about the doctors would be boring, you need a case there to be able to keep the show together, but it definitely has taken a backseat to the character drama, and every year there is a giant story overlapping the season there (the hospital head, the policeman, House's ex, new team, drug habit, etc.) then the small dramas in between the other characters is fantastic too

For me, the Tritter thing started cool but it went downhill fast. I was so glad when that was finally over. I preferred the storyline with Chi McBride in the first season.

Yeah, she was HAWT as a brunette and just meh as a blonde.

Heck yeah! Ninja-Chuck (NinChuck?) was the most hilariously awesome thing I've seen on TV in a long time. I'm curious how they'll use that next season though. It really changes the dynamic of the show.

Ugh I couldn't disagree more. The Tritter storyline was the second worst thing to happen on the show behind the Voegler crap from Season 3. It was awesome the first two episodes and got old FAST after that. It was just the same annoying crap pretty much all season (2 seasons in a row, no less)
I do agree that the storyline arcs are far more interesting than the individual medical mysteries, but the show wouldn't be the same without them. I feel they have a good balance though. Nearly every scene addresses the arcing storylines in some way, for nearly every episode. Entire scenes that have nothing to do with the mystery are there too, particularly between House/Cuddy and House/Wilson.
Anyways, I don't usually get emotional involved in TV shows, but I almost cried at the finale. I don't know what it is about Cameron but I feel for her. Maybe it's because she's so much like this girl I know, idk, but I want her to be happy (and I know she's just a TV character). The whole House hallucination thing was *mindblown* though :D
