Thrash Metal and death metal, mainly death/thrash and technical thrash metal.
I'm open to many genres though, from metal (thrash, death, black, doom, melodeath, power, NWOBHM, excluding grindcore) to fusion, to hardcore punk to psyechedelic rock, to progressive rock to grunge.
I like many other genres too such as blues, hip-hop, and jazz, although I only really scratched the surface in those genres.

Knights of Cydonia is pretty in-your-face prog. But that's it from their other albums, really. Some have proggier tendencies (Map of the Problematique, Take a Bow) but they aren't too proggy outside that.

I like a lot of that stuff, actually - it's just not in my library. I'll also admit that I'm not a fan of stuff like the ATG albums you listed (also, I see no ATG in my library...?). Further, I don't have to like everything to like a genre.
By the way, I have Soilwork, early ATR, and Sonic Syndicate in there as well.
Where, exactly, is the irony by the way? Yes, TRITSIO is one of the most prominent examples of melodeath, but I don't have to like it. I much prefer what the bands did once they lost their black metal sound a bit.
