Hey all,
Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, I've bought and downloaded the Metallica, Police and Queens of the Stone Age DLC packs. All but the QOTSA packs come down fine, but it gets stuck on 99% them craps out. I tried deleting the corrupt pack and starting again a few times but always with the same results.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Ian

It would help if we knew which console.

That's wierd, perhaps a problem with the file download from the server in your area? I purchased it last week no problem.

Sorry, XBOX 360. I'm not one of the 12 PS3 owners in the world :D :D (just kidding folks, settle down)

Yep, Hard drive has plenty of space.
I'll try again today and see if it works, otherwise I'll hit up MS xbox support and see what they have to say.
I've only ever had this happen one other time and that was with the Prey demo. Strange.
Still, thanks for the suggestions all and if you think of anything else let me know.

Have you tried clearing your Xbox 360's cache?

Tends to fix a lot of problems like these. You won't lose any saved data or anything, but you will have to re-download any game patches you previously downloaded.

Sounds firmiliar... Oh wait Windows has the same problems, they just removed the ability to fix it by normal means.

Jesus, I just freed up 2GB on my hard drive doing this (all those demos my son downloaded, then I bought the game, etc...). Thank you very much!

Ok, so I went in - Deleted the corrupt download. Cleared the cache (as per the article above) and still nada. Keeps bombing out on 99%. Annoying as hell, especially since I can download other items just fine....*sigh*

Thought I'd bump this again - I downloaded more DLC tonight with no-issues, but when I tried to download (my already paid for Queens of the Stone Age) - BOOM - 99% and fail AGAIN.
Still no suggestions from HMX, or any members other than what's already been tried?
Thanks,
Ian

Probably going to have to talk to Microsoft since you are downloading the content from the Xbox marketplace.

Yeah, I guess that's the only option left - Not looking forward to it, last time was a long drawn out experience with typical 'the answer to everything is reboot your modem' tech support :(

Ok, so I called MS support and we managed to get it all sorted out. It's a weird situation, but here's what happened:
I have a Xbox(wired)->router->modem->internet setup - like most people. I downloaded 3 DLC packs - 2 of which came down great and the QOTSA pack that failed. Later I downloaded more DLC packs and songs with no problem with this configuration.
For some reason, though, we had to bypass the router and hook the xbox 360 straight to the cable model for the QOTSA pack to work - go figure. I'd never have pegged it for a router problem with the other packs downloading.
Any technical network folks have any explanations for this? My setup is back to the original and other DLC's have been downloaded since.
Thanks,
Ian
