So, I just got my Rockband, two days ago.

Woot!

Unfortunately, my drumkit was a defective straight out the box.

Boo!

So I slapped it in the face with EA's Warranty Website and a good ole 125 USD for Speedy Delivery.

Huzzah.

BUT, just right now, after getting off work I decide to try out the guitar, looking good for the first 3 cities. And all of a sudden, my strumbar dies.

WTF?

EA, seriously, I'm not here to flame, but come on 2 defective instruments in one box? We payed 185 dollars with tax in the US for this game, we expect quality. Now I'm being asked to wait another week and a half or so to get my drumkit, and my money back, just because you guys messed up?

And on top of that, I would of thought my Guitar would of been waived for a second speedy delivery, but no, I was asked to put another 125 USD on hold, which I don't have. SO I actually get to wait a bit over two weeks now? Maybe three?

Get it straight EA, this is frickin' unbelievable.

Is there a way to get my money back? I stupidly lost my receipt, but I'd rather not have a Rockband at all, no matter how great a game is, and keep my money and use it for something else.

same boat as you. Mine took 2 weeks to start acting up however. But they should have had a link on the site that said if you have more than one thing wrong you can claim under the same return and only have to put down one hold on your card.

Yeah I'm pretty upset about this too... I couldn't return my game either since it was opened up or some BS excuse they gave me. The drum bass pedal will probably break on you too just to let you know... I had mine for 2 days and it broke on me and a lot of people ask "have you been stomping on it?". No I have not been. I was playing on it a lot for those few days but to break on you that fast clearly shows how little time EA spent on making the instruments. Oh and my strum bar worked for my first song... and after that it died on me. How great!

All I've got to say is... Harmonix, you shouldn't have sold out to EA. EA, you should have upped the price of the game by $10 and spent a little more time on making the instruments before getting this game out. Look how much money you're losing now on all the shipping costs and replacements. We are all so proud of you.
