I had the aptitude but not the attitude.

For the first 8 years of school everything was effortless, then I actually had to start trying but didn't so my grades went down.

A-B but my most recent report card had straight A's

I feel ya on this one. Freshmen year = too much effing work for me lol. I could have straight A's if I cared more. But, I have A's and B's instead.

Mostly A's, B's, and C's, but my parents hate C's, and now its starting to pick up to A's and B's only.

Sounds like me. Everything up to this year (Freshman year) was incredibly easy. Now I just do enough to get by.

A's, generally. If I didn't forget things, I would have all A's, but I'm getting a little bit better with that.

In High school I had a 3.0 GPA, I didn't even try that hard in High School

And in College I had a 3.6GPA, second highest in my major :)

Straight A's, a B+ or two in there sometimes.

Teachers like me, and...I still don't know why.

4.0 but I don't really try. My teachers are push overs and always give me the extra points.

I stunk in high school (was smart enough, but didn't try), but I did well in college.

High School GPA: 2.8
I didn't try very hard in high school since I originally planned to go the vo-tech route. I would get A's on most tests without studying, but I didn't do a whole lot of homework. Fortunately, I did good on the ACT, so my GPA didn't stop me from going to college, although it hurt me in terms of scholarships.

Undergrad (BA/BS) GPA: 3.9
Majors: Mathematics, Computer Science
Minors: Business, Computer Information Systems, Statistics
Additional undergraduate coursework: Telecommunications and Multimedia Design (yes, I had a gazillion credit hours when I finished)
Research: On-the-job experience in biomedical research (statistics support for disease profiling and microarray analysis). One small undergrad Artificial Intelligence project (Truth Maintenance Systems stuff).
When I got to college, I actually started trying.

Graduate (Ph.D - in progress) GPA: 3.6
Major: Statistics
Additional graduate coursework: Mathematics and Economics
Research: sMRI imaging, multivariate adaptive rejection sampling, Markov Chain sampling.
What? My graduate GPA is lower than my undergraduate GPA? What happened to grad school grade inflation?
I'm still trying, but I've got stiffer competition now which hurts the curve.

Great at math. Good at science. So-so at English. Slept through history. :)

me too, there was just a level of respect I had for my college professors that made me actually do well, and College actually could improve my life so I tried harder. unlike in High School I didnt care mainly cause the teachers looked down on me and didnt respect us at all so I just lost interest and respect for them.

In High School i always got the "you have the potential but not the ambition to do well" line. D-Bags

i was terrible in h.s. i never did homework, would almost always skip my first class, and sometimes would go to school high as a kite. i was definately smart enough but laziness was my middle name. i aced all my exams & tests but cuz of no homework my grades barely reached a "C" average.

Not 4.0 but pretty good, occasionally B amongst A's. GPA around 3.9 in both high school and college.

1.9 GPA

I had all the potential, but none of the motivation. I was lazy and used a sh*tty childhood as an excuse to not do work... now I'm paying for it with no college education, and an unemployment check because there is no more automotive work in MI

That's tough. Ever thought about going back to school to get a college degree? I know it's not possible for everyone depending on the situation but...

After two years of University, I have an overall average of 80.1%. Not bad.
