Hey folks. I read somewhere than any XBox Live headset can be used as the game microphone. However, I was unable to get the game to recognize my wireless headset as a mic.
Is there something I'm missing? Or is it only the wired mics?

Never got mine to work either, don't think it is compatible, even though it theoretically could be. Oh well, there goes my aspirations of playing bass and singing.

I have gotten it to work. All I did was turn in the XBox with a single controller and plug in the headphone to it.
A warning though : This is not the microphone to use if you have background noise (such as a drunken group of people behind you singing along). While the Rock Band Microphone is designed to register your voice, a 360 Headset is designed to register all the noise around it too.

Actually, you just have to hook it into another control like the guy above me said. You're not the only aspiring singer/bassist.
On an interesting side-note, though, you can create a make-shift mic-holder. I used some cardboard and packing tape to make a holder on the back of a chair I had. It hurt me back a bit to kneel, but if you power-stance, you should be just fine.

Power-stance?? That would probably stink. But I like the guys advice above me.
