View Full Version : Me, My Friend, Ps3, and my DLC.

Ok, since that I'm tired of RRoD on 360 (and for other reasons), and I just wanna be able to play for hours without breaking it, I will be going PS3 this summer, if I get accepted for this job.

I have the money for PS3, but wanna have some money for DLC, and I will be selling my 360 instruments, so I figured I would sell my friend my LIVE account (with 16 arcade games and 103 DLC). So, I have a question.

He has a PAL system, and I have an NTSC, so will the NTSC DLC and Arcade games work with his system if I sell him it? And also, I have M$ points left on the account, so would he be able to use them?

Honestly I don't think your account will be able to transfer over to a PAL account, but I geuss you could always try it?

I've heard that the DLC is region locked though. Meaning that your NTSC DLC won't work with his PAL version of Rock Band, even if he's logged into your account.

I don't know for sure though. I do know he'll be able to have your account on his console and play Live Arcade games from his console even with the other gamertag once it is downloaded. The problem is mostly Rock Band.

Yeah. Your account , and all your DLC will technically work , but your US version RockBand DLC won't be compatible with his PAL version of the game. (thats how the PS3 RB DLC works at least)

All your arcade games etc will work just fine as long as he's online with your account.

I know , but I'm pretty sure the RockBand DLC is locked. Der_Lex has to use a US account to DL his RB tracks because he has a US RockBand game. (but again , that is PS3)

Hell , if he's your friend , just let him recover your account and try it. If it doesn't work , just recover it back.

(Only try this if he's a real friend ! Otherwise, your account could be stolen)

The thing is, he doesnt have RB2 yet, and he'll get it after I give it to him.
