GH2 vs GH3

Alright, since I have to wait until x-mas to get my copy of rockband, and because I need a second guitar for it, I've decided to buy a guitar hero game, but I can't decide between GH2 and GH3. (I have a 360 btw.) Does any one have any input? I like the songlists about the same (GH2 a little more), but the wireless les paul looks very nice as well.

The wireless guitar is great however GH3 is not nearly as good as GH2. To borrow from another poster on a different thread......

This perfectly sums up the differences. I love the songs on both games but for the feeling of playing guitar GH2 wins. GH3 is more like an exercise in seeing how many notes can be crammed on to the screen at one time.

I like GH3 more because there is more difficult songs on it and the solos are extreamly fun

For me, the deciding factor is the online play. If you enjoy online co-op/competition, GH3 is obviously the way to go. I also enjoy the song list on GH3 about 1,000 times more.

Guitar Hero 2 by far. I have Rock Band for my online play.

I am not sure if the LP works with RB though I think I remember reading somwhere that it doesn't. But if you have to wait that long for RB GH3 is sold out everywhere aswell.

I like both, however, GH3 went over the top harder and isn't as fun in general. If I hadda pick one, it would probably be GH2.

The Les Paul works fabulously in Rock Band. It works much better than the Strat.

Yeah you should, it's definitely a lot better.

It's definitely more enjoyable and the song list is better imho :)

I doubt you'll be disappointed. GH2 should keep you entertained for quite a while.

GH2 was pretty intense (six, thunderhorse,light that blinds, beast and the harlot) but GH3 takes it over the top. If for you it's difficulty FTW, then i reccomend GH3. If you just wanna have a good time and still have a good challenge, then GH2 is awesome. I play expert level, and i feel that GH3 did kinda take away from the feeling of being a rockstar...it really depends on what makes you feel accomplished. Also, GH3 has a really old skool song list at the gate, but it picks up later.

Hmmm its all about preference.

If you wanna take GH3 to an extra level, wanna go harder but lose some realism go GH3. Its the shouty lead singer/guitarist of the trio.

GH2 is the bassist, take your pick, doing his awesome stuff but without the blatant attention. The bassists job is more easy but feels more... right. Know what I mean?
