One thing we can do to draw more attention to this issue is to push the story to the front of digg.com. I didn't post the article there, but you can vote for it here:

It's a rumor. "Trusted source"? Whatever. I'm far from a fan of RO/Activision (haven't been for about two decades now), but spreading awareness of something that's not confirmed? Waste of time...

If it's not true, then you're correct and we're wasting our time. However, if it IS true, then maybe the added negative publicity will help convince Activision to call off the dogs and allow the patch to be released.

Dugg. I really hope this gets attention. I don't have a PS3 personally, but I hate these kinds of exclusionary tactics. Let GHIII compete with RB on a level playing field. Activision isn't showing much faith in its product.

Bumping the thread back to the front forum page. Just a few more Diggs should get it into the Upcoming "Hot in All Topics" list. From there, hopefully, it will make it to the front page. It's at 22 Diggs now and the bottom three stores in the Hot Topics list have 22, 25, and 26 Diggs.

Whether it's true or not, I submitted that article in hopes that someone will come forward with what the delay is. If it's not Activision, my apologizes for using you as a scape goat :o

I signed on just to dig it. Sadly it looks like another weekend is going to be spent without Rockband working the way it was meant to. :(

As opposed to all the confirmed information we have, right? Why should we not believe it? Nobody else is doing any talking, and you've gotta admit, it DOES make sense.

Dig is a sham I read an article in todays paper that folks can promote bogus stories on there by creating many accounts then voting for it to make the front page. I would not trust anything from a site set up like that.

Enough time has passed at this point that whether or not Activision is behind the patch delay I am aggravated with them regardless. They should have released some information on this one way or another by now. For that matter same with Sony. What the **** is that stupid PSN "Information Board" for if not to inform Sony customers about their expensive products? I've sent several emails to Sony simply asking what issues are delaying the patch and when they think those issues will be resolved, none of which have been answered.

emails are easy to ignore. you should try calling if you really want an answer from them.

Digg is a user moderated site in a sense that popular stories get brought to the front page by other readers digging that story. It's pretty difficult to bring bogus stories to the front page because the story can just be easily dugg down. That said, it does have it's fair share of problems much like everything else on the internet.
