Yes, most definatly will be broken. Here is what you do, mail your bundle to me and I'll fix everything for free and mail it back to you when I'm done. No, really, I will!

Why don't you just pop it open and play it. You have 60 days to return the stuff for a free replacement from EA...

Why don't you just pop it open and play it. You have 60 days to return the stuff for a free replacement from EA...

Then you'll have 42 days to send it back if it's broken.

We can't tell you if your stuff is broken or not. We didn't test it for you...

If you are really worried, have whomever bought it for you as a gift go back to the store to make sure they either get a gift receipt (which will cover you through January) or an extended warranty. That way you know at least you're covered if it is broken.
