Is HMX planing on releasing a Deluxe version of Rock Band which will have a working guitar with no issues, drums that last longer, quieter and get every note and a bass pedal made out of metal that doesn't break in half after a few hours of gaming? So I was thinking something like a $200 bundle? I would be willing to pay $30 bucks more for something that is going to last longer and will work everyday as it did on the first time it came out of the box.

If you don't like early versions of the hardware, don't buy them. Just wait for the kinks to get worked out and save yourself $30 ;)

** In before the lock **
Oh look. Another complaint topic with a misleading title.
Expect that lock soon.

This is not a complaint topic. This is a brainstorming thread asking for opinions of what HMX could do if we all are willing to buy a deluxe bundle.

I would have gladly paid $400 for the deluxe set. I was always on record saying, pre-release, THE MORE EXPENSIVE THE BETTER...but no they had to try to hit some magical price point surely recommended by marketing and in doing so pissed out countless thousands of die hard Harmonix fans who just want to rock. Harmonix=buzzkill.

Of course not. It's just an implication that HMX intentionally sold you shoddy hardware.
Maybe people who behave on the forums get better hardware? :p j/k

Harmonix didn't accidentally sell us shoddy hardware, they did it on purpose...yeah this thread will be closed soon because the truth is painful...Harmonix should have learned the lesson that MS learned with the ****acular 360 builds...

From your lips to Sean's ears ... wait. That didn't sound right.

Of course they didn't "accidentally" sell us hardware. I just find it hard to believe they intentionally made it faulty. How do they benefit from that?
I don't think this whole situation would be as much of a problem if EA's site worked correctly...

I don't think it would be just $30 more. Would you be willing to pay, say, $120 more?
(I might be, depending on the details.)

Yes, it will come out at the same time that XBox unviels a 360 with a 0% faulire rate, cars all run on water and never break down, and all women are beautiful game addicts...
This IS the deluxe bundle. Do you really expect anyone to release a 100% perfect product, especially at initial launch? You wanna be one of the first....you gotta live with the bumpy ride.

Rock Band is more than just a game, it's a way of life. It's the culmination of all things great about rhythm games. It's also a tutorial on how to play real drums, which is important to me as a musician...bottom line, this "game' is incredibly ambitious but was unfinished upon release. And you just know they cut corners in production to knock off that last $30...and why? To reach a wider demo... They should have had faith that people would pay for QUALITY. Nobody thought people would pay $100 for OG Guitar Hero but they did. Shoulda had faith.:mad:

Hmm, mine seems pretty well finished. Did you get the beta version?

These issues have been worked out and will continue to be worked out in our production lines. There will be no need to purchase a "deluxe" bundle to get what you are asking for. In the meantime - my fingers are getting hoarse from this one - make sure that, if you believe your peripheral is faulty, you send it back to EA for a replacement.
