Im gonna be pissed if it gets re-delayed. Not at anybody specifically, but seriously, we were under the impression we got it alongside you americans for the longest time... then NO concrete news about the delay whatsoever on the website, or anywhere else for that matter.. Then finally a message about the delay, and still I'm unsure if the release was the 20th, 17th, 18th or whatever.

If they re-delay it AGAIN that's ridiculous. The only reason I can see that happening is because they want to fix their defective hardware before shipping it here, in which case it's understandable.. but if they delay it only to have the same hardware issues as have been reported, that's a complete joke.

There was a whiny topic about this a few days back I was reading and I assure you this is the same with almost any product.. I worked tech support for HP Notebooks for about 6 months [Phone support.. bleh] and they will not fix an american notebook in canada or vice versa. They have support centers for each respective country, and I would get the same WAH WAH WAH customers as are whining in these forums.

You take a risk buying something internationally and bringing it back, thats the bottom line.. waitll the 20th [or 28th.. or next year, whenever they decide to finally let us have it] and itll get replaced

If you are planning to buy points over the marketplace its not working if you dont have a valid us credit card number.. They are checking if it fits with your name and address. The best way is to get xbox live points over ebay.. 1600 points cost around 22US$ and 4000 points around 53US$.

They will email you the code in the next 5-10minutes if the seller is online. You dont need to wait the shipping time.

Where do you live? If your going over to Niagara Falls, NY let me know if they got any and where, I wanna make sure I have it for Xmas, rather then delay and try and buy it here, where I might not get it. So everywhere else states thats it's December 20 (Week of) @ $169.99. Called Bestuy, Futureshop, Walmart (took me awhile but I got an answer), and EBgames (3 of em).


When I called BB and FS i asked about the site, and both people I talked to made sure that the price they'ed given me was true (169.99) and once again they said the release date was The Week of Dec 20. They also where bafled by the crazy price and the delay (Which I was happy about), either way, if I got to either store and its up that high (price), the manager is going to have a very, very bad night.

I mean it was both of these sites that originally said RB was coming out on Nov. 20 after initially having it as Dec. 20. Exactly. Dont take this up too seriously, but people REALLY REALLY do whine over this whole Canadian release thing. You should have your copies late december - early january, but so many other people like me wont have those options.

I live in Denmark, Europe. We, Asia, Australia and the rest of the known world wont have this game untill some unknown time in 2008. I aint hearing so many europeans or people from other places whining about the delay for the rest of the world. Even while i live in Denmark i decided to do something about it, because i really wanted to play it. So i bought an American Xbox 360 and got the big bundle shipped nearly halfway across the world, so i could play it. I din't whine about it being delayed, instead i did something about it like Rook said.

But again think about it for a moment, you knew the release date ages ago. It wasn't changed a week or two before the listed date with a reason that was practically nonexistent until users dug it up.
Not to mention it's not like Germany got it (for you in Denmark) and then you guys found out you had to wait atleast a month to get it. That analogy only works btw if Denmark and Germany get games on the same date.
Canada usually only sees a delay of one day maybe two from the US. Sometimes we get games before the US.

Hey, if you want to pay 250$ for a 170$ game that's your right but other people have also have the right to keep a certain body part virginally intact and rant about it if it's threatened. It's a free country after all.

Seriously though, I've never seen so much confusion about a single game. Release date for games usually match in Canada and in the U.S. but this time having like 10 possible release date and numerous delays (after it was released in another part of the continent) for a single game has to be some sort of record.

We know that EA values U.S. customers over Canadian customers and that's why Rock Band hasn't been released here yet (who wouldn't prefer getting those u.s. dollars instead of those higher valued canadian dollars?) but still, another official release date for Canada (because you know, the first official release date was november 20th) would be nice instead of a dozen unofficial ones.

And don't give up europeans, you'll get the game someday. That's what I keep telling myself too.

It's a little sad now. I've inevitably accepted the original delay that I don't really feel all that phased by another one if it's true. Still no official word on a Canadian Release date by Harmonix. It's too early to tell because no retailer has received shipments yet, but we're still a week and a bit away so I expect them to get it this coming week if there is no delay. I've all but given up on being excited for this game anymore. Hopefully that will be to my benefit when I finally play the game (if?) and it blows my freaking mind. Still, it's a little distasteful to be forced to remain as unexcited as I am, especially in comparison to the huge draw I had to the game in the summer and days leading up to the original release day (you know before we got blown off).

It's not the delay so much that bothers me. If we would have found out about a delay 2 months even before the release day I would have accepted it much better then 1 or 2 weeks before. So granted a delay of a week isn't going to kill me but it still sucks (IF* Future Shop or Best Buy is right) that we're finding out from retailers with no official word from EA. As someone said before HMXJohn said the price is still $169.99 CDN MSRP, so a price increase would be gouging on the retailers part.

If there is another delay it's probably due to the fact that there were so many peripherals failing for the USA customers.Who knows how many periphs needed to be replaced?And where do you think the replacments came from?There has also been 3 guitar periphs since the USA launch.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was another month delay,and it wouldn't bother me either.I would rather wait untill HMX/EA work out the bugs and fix the periphs before I decide to spend any money on this game.I have canceled my preorder aswell, I think I'm going to wait to see what happens in the future with 3rd party periphs or if they make a patch for the les paul for the PS3.I dont feel like getting stuck with crappy periphs that dont work if I have no other controller options.

what you people over in Europe fail to realize is that Canada and the States are on the same ****ing land mass, in which our dollar is still ahead of theres. So this whole thing comes as a huge kick in the nuts. I wanted the game for xmas in which alot of my family would be coming down. It was first promised for November 20th, then the delay to Dec 20, both at the MSRP of 169.99. Cutting it kinda short, to Christmas but I can handle that. But Dec 28 and now others claiming January @ 199, it's looking more and more like a big kick in the nuts on the part of BB and FS. Not so much HMX or EA, but still they should have realized the demand and started manufacturing earlier, but what ever.



Yeah it sucks that you guys (Euro) have to wait till March but your a totally different continent , while were less then an hour apart from the boarder. (St.Catharines, Ontario)


What ever if it is delayed theres nothing to do about it, but I just like knowing whats going on. I hate all the misinformation (or lake there of) I'v beeen getting lately, from both my life, and regarding Rock Band.


And I going to check out the stores across the boarder next week hopefully and see if they got any in, or when they should see a new shipment.

remeber its not HMX, its FS and BB gouging the price. The release date could be them just saying that you wont be able to get a copy of RB till December 28 bcc of the Xmas preorders or limited quantities. But as it were no new info from HMX or EA so ias it is still the week of December 20th at 169.99 so hold tight and dont loose hope :P
