Hey everybody i'm getting quite anxious for RB and i'm just wondering if anyone can make a video or point me to one already made of a crowd sing along?

If the Learn to Fly video is still up on the main site, there was one in that. Or maybe it was from somewhere else. Almost any video of people playing the game well should have a sing-along.

It is, without question, my favorite of the subtle touches the game has.
When playing favorite songs, I've actually gotten chills when the sing-along starts.
When playing songs I don't like so much, hearing the sing-along helps me get more into it.
And I also like that when you drop a few notes and the sing-along stops, it breaks into thunderous cheering.

The Black Hole Sun vid has sing along. It's on the main site
At least I think it does

My favorite's the zombie rendition of the crowd when you're doing "Blitzkreig Bop". That makes me laugh.

Blitzkrieg Bop on the home page.
I personally love it more when they sing the backup. Specifically Wanted Dead or Alive. And I hate that song.

the sing alongs are only in the main disc songs(DLC songs likely have them omitted to save space). It's very minor but you do tend to miss them.

Really? Damn. Would've gone perfect with Juke Box Hero.

Are you sure about that? I played "Heroes" last night and I definitely heard sing-along.
Could simply be an instance of my blurry perceptions and failing memory, though.

I love Dead or Alive. They sing the echo-ey parts that are in the song. Makes you feel like a Rockstar!

Yeah, that's a good one. It reminds me of when the Foo Fighters covered 'Stairway To Heaven' on Craig Kilborn like 4-5 years ago, and Grohl sang the guitar solo.

I think it's the blurry perceptions and failing memory. I have Heroes, Fortunate Son, Roxanne, and My Sharona, and haven't heard the crowd in any of them.

I agree it's such a nice touch.
If space is the only thing keeping it off DLC, I'd gladly wait longer for the download!

I agree, though I think it's more likely a time/cost issue. It might take longer to add the singing along in, plus they'd have to go have it recorded. If they were working with a master track, its one thing, but I figure if they are doing some cover versions, couldn't they ask all the people in the cover band to gather near the microphone, and record the crowd parts real quick?
It's not a huge deal, but it's such a cool feature in the game that it would be nice to see it in all the songs. When I break a long streak, I'm more sad about the crowd not singing along anymore, than I am about getting a lower score.

In my opinion that is the best sing along in the game. Crowd sounds AWESOME during this song!!

Me, too. I do everything I can to get them singing again.

yeah its such a crowd sound too, they are filling in on parts of the song that aren't filled in in the normal song, like when they yell "WANTED" at the first chorus.
its because of that song that I want a bon jovi dlc pack, blaze of glory, bad medecine, keep the faith!!!

This is the part where I step in and declare my hatred for Bon Jovi.
Queen would make a better crowd singing pack. Of course We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions but Bohemian Rhapsody, Fat Bottomed Girls, and The Show Must Go On would sound great too!

I believe that the software just puts the lead vocal/music through some sort of filter to create the crowd singing dynamically...thus the crowd singing the guitar solo in Say it Isn't So. But I could be wrong...
So when do we get a Journey DLC? Talk about the ultimate crowd sing-along tunes. REO Speedwagon would be good for sing-along crowds...but I wont mention them. :)

Awesome ideas. I can think of a few Queen songs that I LOVE to listen to from live albums when the crowd sings, and Freddie doesnt. We're talkin goosebumps people!!!

Is it me or do the extra unlockable songs on RB not have any crowd singing?? I really hope the DLC has crowd singing. That is what pumps me up when I do good and lets me know how good i'm doing. I have a nice surround sound system in my living room and it sounds so cool!!!!
DLC NEEDS CROWD SINGING!!!!!!

ROFL , I crack up every time I hear it... Makes me wonder why people are singing a guitar solo. Hilarious either way.

When Rush went on tour in Brazil, they experienced the "crowd sing-along to instrumentals" phenomenon with YYZ. That particular incident is captured on their Rush in Rio live CD set. It's pretty hilarious and cool at the same time.

I just noticed that one today and almost died laughing, it was great. Especially since I sing along to instrumental sections all the time--I can't do Tom Sawyer on vocals without doing it.

The sing-alongs are fantastic. It's so cool to hear the crows sing "I'm a weirdo...what the hell am I doing here" !

If that were the case, then it would very easy to enable crowd interaction in DLC songs. Since we've seen none of that so far, it's a safer bet that they actually get a group of people to sing these parts.

If you watch the credits you'll see that there are a few people who are credited as crowd singers.

I had a question, at what point does the crowd start singing? Is it based upon hit percent or streak length? Any diffilculty or must it be on expert?
Sorry if these are dumb questions but I've only had the opportunity to sing once while I was playing expert and didn't miss a note for just a few seconds. Thanks

I never thought about how much it would add to the game the crowd singing along would be. Then Rock Band came out and after all these years of playing guitar hero, hearing the crowd sing alone was icing on the cake.
