View Full Version : I'm pissed because I can't break my drums.

as I've progressed through solo drums. I've come to a few points where I've admitedly gone off the edge. I'm 22 mind you and losing my cool is never a good thing. But there's been times where I've absolutley just belted the drums with my sticks just in a rage over a damn beat. And you know what....each pad is as sensitive as it was when I opened the box. Sure my anti-vibe sticks now rattle too much so I'm back to straight nylon tipped wood sticks but overall my drums are in perfect working order.
My old drummania controller broke after normal use and yet all I get is the occasional loose shcok absorber because my stick sliped off the drumm and I accidently pulled the pad up when bring the stick back up.

So i'm just going to say, It's only fate stop the hate.

I went a little crazy with frustration on the green and red pads after failing the Foreplay/Long Time intro on Expert a few times in a row. But it seems that these things can really take a beating. They've worked perfectly for me so far.

(For anyone curious, I did end up beating Foreplay/Long Time - with 5 stars even!)

I wish i could claim the same. My drums are very unresponsive, especially the red and most crucial one. Doing a 2 hand single stroke roll, the drum just doesn't pick up ANYTHING. the blue does occassionally, but it's really crappy. When i get a row of 16th notes, i can hit them cause the drum just goes dead as soon as i hit them with two hands.

My drums may be broken or i wish they were more sensitive. If i'm doing a single stroke roll really fast, the little on screen red button should be constantly going off instead of just playing dead.

I'm just going to need to replace my drum pedal for the thicker model, my drummer is particularly rough on it, pads work great though.

wow it's uncanny yeah those red to G-O gallops. I nailed that section the first time through but then slowly lost it as teh song progressed and I've yet to be able to nail them again.

man it almost seems like it at times but then euphoria washes over when I realize I failed that that specific task. However I endeavour to avoid such aggresive acts now. Now I will simply beat on my les paul and see if that holds up.

there any pics with the differences between the models clearly visible? I have no baseline to compare what i have. All I know is that mine hasn't shown signs of breaking but then again, I"m the most advanced drummer of my friends and i'm only on medium....

If you cant do 1/32 note drum rolls, your drums are defective.

Almost every first gen model was.
