The drummer of Spoony Freedom and I have been thinking of constructing a setlist that's better suited for the band, but I'm personally drawing a blank on good songs for keyboard. I can think of some great keyboardists, but...

A)Overall I don't think the band would like playing their stuff.
B)Can't find substantial sheet music for those players
C)Are beyond the abilities of keyboardist in my band, and would require lots, and lots of time to learn before we could even gig.

So my quarry, is help thinking of bands/solo artists that doesn't have the disadvantage of point B and C.

Edit:Some songs, we'll construct a keyboard part to fit the song, but I like to have some songs with an active keyboard part.

Funeral For A Friend/Love Lies Bleeding and Bennie & The Jets, both by Elton John.

Actually, anything by Elton John or Billy Joel should work.

We're not limited by genre, we are just trying to find good active keyboard parts in songs.

Edit:That don't have any of the qualities of point B and C mentioned above.

Are you sure, I recall the keyboard playing in sync with guitar in Long Distance Runaround?

Also I would totally dig doing a Yes song, it's just finding the sheet music so that my keyboardist could learn it.

If given some time I think me and him could. :D Don't know if the rest of the band could groove like that.
