Which system

I'd like to buy the Rock Band game, but I don't know which system to buy it for. I have a PS2 right now, but I'm told you can't get the downloadable content with the PS2. What are the pros and cons of the game on each system? One other question, I heard there is this usb something or other that conects the drums, mic and guitars to the system, does this mean that I can use a PS2 drum kit while playing the game on Xbox360 by just switching the usb thingy?

I'd buy the 360 version (Even though I've got the ps3 version) on principle that they've gotten the best treatment so far with working GH3 controllers, better standards due to Mircrosofts Policies, and earlier release on DLC.

Whats GH3? And by DLC I assume you mean, downloadable content? I heard the Halo theme is one of the Xbox downloadables? Is there songs on PS3 that are not on the XBox?

(GH3 = Guitar Hero 3, DLC = Downloadable Content)

Yes, the PS2 version will not have DLC. Yes, it's way worth it to get it for one of the other systems.

- Doesn't support GH2 & 3 guitars
+ Wireless Guitar
+ Region Free

They're otherwise fairly identical. The GH3 guitar support *might* be fixed soon for PS3, but it's up in the air right now.

Up until now both systems have the same DLC available.

One more thing to consider, since it looks like you are not aware of many details regarding nextgen systems.

Online play is free with the PS3, whereas you have to pay a subscription with the Xbox 360 I think it's 50 bucks a year if I am not mistaken.
