Coca-Cola has recently started using a 2-liter bottle design that emulates the shape of glass bottles of Coke.

Just a marketing gimmick, right? No big deal.

Unfortunately, wrong.

I can't find a picture comparing them to a normal 2-liter, but they're taller. And that creates a problem when I try to put them in my fridge.

I usually store my 2-liters on the shelves in the door of my fridge, but they are too tall for that. They're also too tall for the regular shelves in my fridge if I don't adjust them (which would involve removing all the food in my fridge, taking out my dairy box, and being a general pain in the ass).

Coke, I want my regular sized bottles back.

Screw coke. It sucks. I'd rather cut open a puppy and drink what I find.

Yeah, real useful addition to the thread...

This is the reason why I buy cans.

Buy a big mini-fridge and hold them in there for that. Or buy a new fridge, put the one you have right now in your garage, remove all but one shelf in there, and there you go.

That's what I have. All of my marinading meat/soda/other drinks go in there.inb4apartment

That's actually the best link (feedback), and I've already submitted there. Just trying to boost awareness so hopefully other people will submit too.

This.

I also don't feel I should have to buy a new fridge (or re-arrange my existing one) in order to put 2-liters in my fridge.

Not just for 2-liters. It's a second fridge. You can put all of your drinks in it (bottles of beer, abnormally large bottles that should be refrigerated), and keep your actual fridge nice and tidy.

But you WOULD live in an apartment, of all my luck. :p

My only other solution for you is to buy Pepsi instead.

You'll have to buy a new fridge.

That was Coke's plan all along

I prefer coke. I say just drink it at world temperature. Makes you feel like a man... and/or poor.

Switch to Pepsi.

Never. I'd rater drink room temperature coke than that bottled bile.

Buy some Pepsi bottles, empty and rinse them out, and pour your Cokes into them from the bottles that won't fit.

Fixed so I don't have to support Pepsi. :D

Or, you know, you could just store it on its side. My fridge is barely tall enough to fit a container of OJ in it, let alone anything bigger.

That's what I'm doing, but I had to re-arrange half my fridge to make that work and it results in a lot more wasted space.

They've already looked like that in Europe for quite some time. Yes, getting them into the fridge is a (female dog), I had to turn them on their side. Further complicating matters there, Europeans don't believe in ice cubes, so it's either that or drink it warm...

That is why I use cans

I dont drink Coke, and I dont buy 2 liters.

I dont care if they change the style.

But I can see how this frustrates people.
