"Film grain" effect?

Hello all. I was just wondering, as I kind of noticed that the graphics for your band as they play (and audience, etc.) have this grainy look to them, yet the rest of the UI looks HD.

Doesn't bother me, as I think it adds ambiance, but is this what everyone else is seeing?

Yes its normal, its what the artists and designers wanted. You ever watch pre-HD concerts and material of the like? Most of the shows had that grainy film-type look, especially during the 70's-80's. Don't worry, all of the detail is still there its just for added effect and also covers up some detail that the game lacks. I personally think it suits Rock Band very well!
