Well, with the announcement of "Guitar Hero 5" Today (released september 1st 2009) Its time for harmonix to kick their asses into gear and get out a rockband 3 :P. If they dont, they will get blown out this fall and winter....any other thoughts on the topic?

/facepalm.

Quality>Quantity. The longer you wait, the better the game is. Beatles>GH anyway.

no way man :P they already have the following bands announced...The Rolling Stones, The White Stripes, Kings of Leon, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Santana and Vampire Weekend....Almost all of those have been requested for rockband and ignored....Although rockband: beatles will be good, they will lose alot of profit this year:eek:

With all the DLC HMX has released Nevervision could release GH5-8 this year and we would still have more overall songs. What you are seeing with so many GH games is simply a difference in business philosphy. HMX releases one game, calls it a platform, and puts out a lot of new addons for that platform every week, whereas Nevervision sticks more to the old brick and mortar business model. Both sides have exceptions of course... Lego Rock Band and such, and Nevervision does release DLC, just not nearly as much... but they have two different business models, it does not mean HMX is going to get "blown out". I am sure they are doing quite well for themselves.

Not really. Just because Harmonix doesn't make a RB3 doesn't mean anything. They can bust out awesome DLC, DLC track packs, and honestly... Who doesn't like Legos and the Beatles? :p That's two games there... Both aimed at different audiences mostly. I think GH5 is getting trumped by that.

Harmonix can have the DLC provide their profit. Nevervision will lose time and money putting out these games, which will all suck because they were rushed. HMX has said multiple times NO RB3 TIL 2010!!!!!!!!!!

I'm 999999% certain that Harmonix has quite a few of those artists locked up for Rock Band 3. Especially Bob Dylan and the Stones, since HMX has dealt with them in the past.

There are enough threads right now that are essentially this same thing. Please find one of those to post in.
