I apologize if this thread's already done. I didnt see one

The latest episode has ended, with William Wallace earing a victory over Shaka Zulu. This is mostly just a little discussion thread. Did your guy win? Was something not right? Etc.

Personally, I felt that fight was pretty wierd. I was expecting Zulu to win. In the fight sequence they created, the battle ends with Wallace staggering in pain, Zulu leaps at him, and falls on Wallace's apparently exteneded sword. Kind of a WTF moment to me.

Anyway, discuss, lock the thread, whatever :)

I think they make the fight sequence end that way so it is more dramatic. It wouldn't have seemed nearly as fair if Wallace split Shaka in two with the claymore as soon as they started fighting.

Second best show ever.

Next week is easy, the Taliban will fly a plane into the IRA, everyone will die, and there will be no winner.

It was over before it started. Wallace's Claymore sword was too much for Zulu.

I personally liked it, I was rooting for Wallace the whole time, especially after the claymore cut through Zulu's shield.

I just finished watching this, the better man won. Zulu was outclassed.

What did they expected that shield to stop?

They ran the simulation a thousand times and Wallace won 64% of the simulations.

I loved the spartan one.

Even if he got a crappy opponent. I'd love to see the Spartan take on the Samurai. Since Ninja's were supposed to have taken down Samurai with their tactics.

I was surprised most by Apache/Gladiator, then I read up on the Apache. And how bout the Maori getting his ass beat by a little Buddhist *laughs*.

Maori didn't have good enough weaponry to combat the Shaolin swords and fighting ability.

They were just silly brutes.

Wasn't surprising, but it was humiliating. And the thing I love, the losing testers ALWAYS shirk the results.

1. Funny how they gave the Claymore such a high kill factor when it was designed to break through heavy armor, something Shaka Zulu wouldn't have. That fact alone was clearly missed with the crew on the show. A claymore is an awesome weapon but I wouldn't use it on an unarmored opponent.

2. The Shaolin vs the Maori was a joke. The Maori won 4 out of 5 weapon edges and still lost? Ridiculous. They weren't even following their own rules. They blame it on steel vs non-steel. What a joke. Metal weapons were used to penetrate armor. Since neither opponent is in armor, steel has much less of an impact especially in hand to hand fighting.

I'm still shocked that the Knight lost to the Pirate. I thought for sure the Knight would walk away with it.

I think the Claymore got a lot of weight in the simulations following the triple decapitation test. Besides, Wallace may not have had a similar weapon for unarmored opponents. They pretty much had to choose it.

As for the Shaolin vs. Maori, the vast majority of Shaolin kills was with the hook-swords, which was the one weapon that they had the advantage on. They were effective enough to pull the majority of the sims in spite of the other weapons not being good enough.

IRA wins. Worst fight sequence ever, did anyone see that flamethrower? They didn't try to make that look real.
