No disrespect intended, but I have to question the validity of the leaderboards and ranking system.
Never bothered with the competitive modes before yesterday... tried drums on medium to get a "feel" for how it works... maybe get an achievement.
Third match in was against a top 10 member on that screenshot... who promptly dropped a 99% with some ridiculous note streak.
If the leaderboards reward dropping down to easy/medium difficulty and preying on new players, I don't see that it's any real indiciator of prowess on the drum pads.

Totally agree. I made a huge post about 2 weeks ago on this topic. Most will agree. This is just how it is, the leaderboards are.... phail.

Well, I'm playing where my ability caps me currently... I certainly don't advocate farming points like that. It took me about 12 songs just to go from 36 to 37. The monotony would be INSANE if you did that on Easy / Medium.
Most people tend to play above their skill anyway, not below. Attempts to show off I imagine. AND THEN I CRUSH THEIR DREAMS.
Or something like that.

Yay shoom #1!
your just like our vocalist now #1 "your hard drive" <3
I've never quit in a ranked match, I never will.
I'll never play anything lower than expert!
Shoom shoom! Don't listen to him, were in the cool crowd ^^; he hates cocky sob's like KNuc

Not going to lie tho, I'm not the BEST player, but if some people *cough Wulfe79* played score duel, I'd hide now ;;
*In all fairness , there REALLY should be a leader board for each difficulty for players who will never advance to that level.

On the other hand, if you're a really good player playing down on easy (and I do competitive vocals so I'm thinking along this track), its easier for someone to score high on an easy song and be near you in points.
If I'm doing hard and I'm better than the other player, I can usually put up a big divide in points. Thats why I prefer playing on a higher difficulty.
