Unknown Independent Bands

Would HMX ever consider offering some unknown stuff for cheap (or even free) DLC? I can think of a ton of small bands that would love to get a single or two added to Rock Band...it would be amazing publicity for the band and they would gladly offer up a master track for little or no royalties.

Then HMX could have a 3 pack once a month of free unknown artists or something, sounds like it would be a win-win situation for all involved!

Edit: Assuming you had enough offers from small bands, you could take it a step further and turn it into a community voting event. The first two weeks of the month users can listen to and vote for which songs they'd like the most. The third week the HMX team could take the top three songs and chart the notes, and finally release them for us all to enjoy the fourth week. Rinse and repeat each month.

I'd love to see something like this, even though it'd be pretty hard to do with all the work involved in tabbing songs. I'd be content with a lot of $0.99 songs instead.

free single of the month wouldnt be so bad nor a stress on harmonix

i just really want the weakertans in but i know no way a somewha respected band from winnipeg manitoba will be ingame

maybe bands could pay harmonix to have someone do their songs
