Odd defect with my strum bar: Only alternate strumming problem

My strum bar works perfect when I only down strum.

Same even when I only up strum.

The problem is when I do alternate strumming(up and down), it cuts out intermittenly.


The guitar worked perfectly when I bought it yesterday. We played on it for hours and worked fine. Picked it up today no problem at first, then about an hour later, BOOM!

I am a pro at the guitar, so I know for a fact its not me.

This happen to anyone else, and is there a cure?

every single first shipment guitar is **** and the strum bar craps out

This wasn't a first ship guitar. Plus non-alternating strums work perfect, so it doesn't make much sense that alternate picking would make a difference.
