Yeah, I saw it last night. Good stuff, especially his machine gun speed rant at the end. He set a new speed record with that, even for him.

Yea, I love Yahtzee so much, he's my vocalist (check my profile) :). Seemed fitting to put him in that spot. :)

He's full of win, I love his early stuff too (Yahtzee takes over the world, Fully Ramblomatic).

A testament to the sorry state of videogaming at the moment: there aren't even any games worth reviewing, so Yahtzee needs to use one which will (hopefully) never be release to create an entertaining review.

Anyway, brilliant stuff from Yahtzee once again. The ending verbal machine-gunning was epic. I think he's as pissed as I am at videogaming at the moment; Nintendo are selling bathroom scales, abominable MIDI synths, and letting 3rd parties are making games where you waggle the Wiimote exclusively (98% of which DON'T EVEN WORK.). The real videogame consoles aren't faring any better; You may as well play COD4, Ninja Gaiden, FFVII, Tetris, Rock Band and be done with it.

In modern videogaming, originality is frowned upon, and graphical enhancements and reiterations of perfected formulas are the norm, BS like Halo 3 sells millions and actual decent games are becoming a dying, neglected breed, relegated to the XBLA and becoming fewer in number with each passing year.

Argh..

I wouldn't say current gaming is as dire as you say. Sure, there is a big case of sequel-itis (especially this year) on the horizon, but last year we saw the debut of some excellent and original franchises e.g. LBP, Valkyria Chronicles and Left 4 Dead. Granted L4D is an FPS, but its the only FPS on the console market like it. And this year we still have a few new franchises. Brutal Legend, Ghostbusters, inFamous...

You're always going to have derivative slop and sequels on the market, but some of those sequels will be amazing (Assassin's creed 2), while others will be just more of the same (Guitar Hero, Rock Band: Beatles).

Its the nature of the beast.

Also, Yahtzee's review this week was especially good, it's why I posted it. The end was outstanding.
