Where are the bands with chicks ? like Pat Benatar , Heart, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks solo albums, or Joan Jet. I really want to buy this game but with me being female and so far only Garbage is the only Band with a female lead I dont feel spending the cash on it is worth it.

the breeders
should definetly be on rock band
Garbage and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are not worth spending the money on, TRUST ME. Nothing but repetitive annoying beats and most of them are early in the set list on solo mode making them stupidly easy on any mode on any instrument, even singing.

Sure they're worth spending the money on.
I enjoy the Yeah Yeah Yeah's music, so I'd buy a music pack from them.
Whether it's easy or not doesn't really matter to me.

I still can't understand why people love that band so much.

There's another bonus song with female lead. Tribe or something like that I think. What I'm wondering though, if there were a ton more female bands on Rock Band... You would buy it then? And would you ONLY sing?
The game is fun as hell regardless of who's on it(almost). I know I still get a kick out of singing a couple of the female lead songs... It's a game, not like it matters much.

I second that, "Beat your Heart Out" and "Die on the Rope" would be fun to play.

well when you think about it the majority of lead singers in rock bands have been male. thus asking for equal representation would be impossible. i simply want good songs whether male or female lead singers are in the lineup. to me it is more important to have quality over quantity.

The Long Blondes (http://community.rockband.com/vbforum/showthread.php?t=14434)
Heart
Joan Jett and the Blackhearts
The Donnas
The Cardigans (well My Favorite Game at least)
Sonic Youth
(MORE) Vagiant
Nightwish
And especially Jefferson Airplane
All get my vote amongst many other talented bands with chick vocalist.

Well your statement is kind of vague (had you narrowed it down to the majority of good bands that'd be one thing) but I do believe that no one here is asking for quality over quantity.

I'd like more recent female singers (yes I'm female and I like to sing because I'm coordinationally challenged).
TheSTART, Scarling, The Horrorpops, The Epoxies!

Yes I made up the word.
It means I'm not coordinated.
Just as much as I can't play shooter games because I can't use 2 analog sticks at the same time, I can't hit colored buttons at the same time. :D

i actually wasn't wieghing in on any individual bands. i just think its a matter of finding the right female led bands to add. personally i could care less. heart would be nice. besides that i dont care much. thus why i didn't say who i wanted last time. i simply wanted to point out that the vast majority of bands are led by guys and therefore the choices are somewhat limited which could be why more were not included in the game.

Good point.
I don't think it's a question of quality versus quantity per se because of that. To use the cliche, "to beat a dead horse," I'd gather that throughout history, there have been less bands with female leads/vocalists than male leads/vocalists. Of course, I could be wrong...
Also, not sure if anybody mentioned it, but I forgot to mention Kittie.

I really don't enjoy listening to a female singers that much with most types of rock. I think they sound great though in ambient and trip-hop.
