Ok so, checked online at both Best Buy and Future Shop (Canada) and they have the bundle listed at 199.99. So yeah F-U-C-K that! I will $hit down someones throat if I have to pay 200 bucks for this game and it's broke a$$ peripherals. Oh yeah, that's complimented nicely by the fact theat 2800 MS points still cost 40 bucks. Which means each song download costs 3.50$ What a Steal!!!!!
Here's a little math for you, if each song on the disc costed that much it would be $157.50 excluding bonus tracks. Tax not included (14% YUM!)
Before anyone says something *** like "well you don't have to buy it." I already plan NOT to! I have been looking forward to this game since it was announced back in April when I thought it sounded so good it must be an April fools joke from the gaming sites. But I am one consumer that is not like these impatient f@gs who wont take a stand to these bull$hit prices and will buy it even if it came across the boarder at 400 dollars and the drum kit was made out of paper plates. I seriously want to B1itch slap someone in the face, but I don't know who's responisble for this garbage so I might just boot f-u-c-k everyone if they deserve it or not just to take out my rage!

Well gee, now you've had a taste of how the rest of us have it. Only, those of us in places like Australia get it that much worse. I guarantee the special edition bundle out here will be at least $300.
Honestly, sit down and be quiet. You really have no right to complain.

I also remember us having Guitar Hero 3 listed for 119.99 for a couple of days and then it went back down to 99.99. Prices on the website aren't set in stone. Just wait till the release date approaches.

From HMXSean.
First of all we didn't change the price to $199.99, second there are already plenty of threads in which to complain about Rock Band and Canada.

but none of those threads have my special flavour of input on them. I don't want someone elses run down lost on the 11th page thread, I wanna be heard! the truth is scary and I know you want to silence it but when its me taking you're 30 dollars then we'll talk.

If you want people to read what you have to say so damn badly, at least make it to where I don't wanna claw through my head and destroy my own brain for having taken in your words.

Did you see the part where he said they didn't change the price to $199, so they're not talking your $30? Or, did you just miss the first half completely?

I'd simply just buy it from the states and it would be problem solved (partialy) if it wasn't such an unreliable product and Canadians weren't getting an annoying runaround from EA about replacing there broken $hity instruments.

Sorry about the price difference for ya. Have you ever thought about therapy I'm not sure if your insurence covers it, but it might be a good way to blow that 199.99. ;)

yeah, probably could use some. This whole Rock Band thing is driving me insane. Anyone who has been excited as I am about this thing since April, then getting 4 huge bombs, massive delay, outragous game price, absolutely apauling DLC price, and another delay on top of that would understand my pain.

ANOTHER Canadian delay? Man this sucks!!! It is a game after all, and while it sucks, angry-boss, you need to relax a bit. I have the week off that it was supposed to come out in Canada. Oh well. Guess I won't be playin' 'till the New Year.

Just a thought... is that price U.S. dollars or is it taking into consideration of the exchange rate? I'm not trying to be a jerk, I am just asking if that has any bearing on the price?

199.99 Cad
....why would a canadian website list the price in USD????
I'll make it simple for you,
US price 169.99
Canada price 199.99
DLC US 1.99
Canada DLC 3.50

I am not sure what the exchange rate is at the moment, But I would wager that $199.99 CaD is probably pretty close to $169.99 U.S. dollars. If that's the case then someone really needs to take a deep breath and count t ten.... thousand.

Not at all...seeing as the dollars are about par with each other (as the case has been for about two weeks) 199 CAD equals about 199 USD...
either way, I'm Canadian and am used to getting ripped off...

I was just asking... I said didn't know what the exchange rate was, but since Harmonix has already said they did not change the price I was just wondering if that could have been the reason... Apparently that's not the case. Admittedly it's been two years since the last time I went to Canada and the exchange rate was about 8-10 back then so i was just asking.

If it's not Harmonix raising the price then you need to take your complaints to your local Canadian retailers and complain to them for jacking up the price. But I wouldn't be surprised if that is just "pre-release hype". I had heard that RB was going to retail in the US for around $200 before they actually released the suggested retail price of $169.99 as well. So hopefully they are not going to jack up the price on you.
