M downloads don't work

I am fairly new to Rock Band and this morning I downloaded 17 new tracks from the Rock Band store on Xbox Live Marketplace. But for some reason only 6 seem to work. A couple of others are listed in the track list, but there is no preview and the game freezes if I try to choose these songs. The rest of the tracks do not appear in the list at all.

Why has this happened? I am very disappointed with this and have never had this problem with Guitar Hero. The only reason I bought Rock Band was because of the better choice of downloads. It seems I have wasted my money.

Hm... Interesting. What kind of 360 HDD are you using? Are you using a legal copy of the game on a box and XBL account that matches the discs region?

Yes, everything is legal. It's the Xbox Arcade, the hard drive was bought seperately. I downloaded them today but they don't work. It's a joke, I've never had such a problem before. If they don't work then I just want the money back, I'm not bothered about the MS points. I only bought the points for Rock Band. I'll just stick with Guitar Hero in future.

Is the hard drive new or used? I would try deleting and redownloading the tracks from your DL history... The pack you DLed may have somehow been cut off too soon.

i've recently had the same problem with rockband for my 360. songs that i have downloaded and played before quit working. it would sent me back to the main screen and say something along the lines of downloaded content has become unavailable. i even deleted the songs off my hard drive and downloaded them again and still have the same problem. some of the songs i downloaded work, some dont, i dont get it.

try deleting the folder in system memory labled "downloaded song data" and see if helps with some (if not all the non-working songs)

I have this issue as well. I have spent hundreds of dollars on music and downloaded the songs multiple times and they keep disappearing. I tried deleting the folder in system memory labeled "downloaded song data" and they are still missing. I can't be the only one dealing with this issue, right?

thanks. seems to have fixed everything.

all i had to do was go into the rockband file on my hdd, then i deleted the download history, started the game, and every song is working again.

Experiencing something similar. I had the original Rock Band....Downloaded about 15-20 songs they worked fine. Picked up Rock Band 2 and the day I got it I was hit by the Red Ring of Death. Sent in for repair and when it came back all was good.

I downloaded about 15-20 more songs including the ACDC Track Pack and now none of the new downloads will play on the game unless I am plugged into the Internet. Since then my hard drive blew.

Bought a new one today, dumped my game tag back on, downloaded all 50+ songs and now they all work if I'm connected to the internet, but if I unplug my cat 5 wire they don't work at all.

Anyone seen this???? Any ideas????

EDIT: I'm new to all this, and in my research I've been reading something about license transfers, deleting download history, etc. Is there a step by step procedure for putting in a new harddrive, dumping the game tag, and transferring everything that I need to follow so that everything will work? Thanks in advance.

hey i'm pretty new downloading songs for rockband 1. i live in australia and imported the u.s version of rb1 before it came out here. I downloaded a heap of songs from australian store and none of them show up at all........ is it because i got the u.s version of the game???
