This makes me mad because now it's been slightly over 30 days since my game was purchased. It's been like 45. But I'm sick and tired of this happening. My drumkit randomly stops working in the middle of songs. It does not have to do with the battery because the light on the drumkit stays on. But the dongle starts flashing. I press the sync button on the drumkit but it does not work. Pressing the button on the dongle stops the game but does not sync up with the drumkit. The only way to make it work again is to turn off the kit and turn it on again. And then it may work for 5 entire songs, it may work for about 5 measures of a song before it turns off again.

I've had this problem since day one. I thought maybe it would get better as I played it, and it has slightly, but it's really irritating me and I really want a new drumkit or a way to get this drumkit fixed.

And I put in new batteries, and it did not work. Still does the same thing.

Did you try putting something between the batteries and the battery cover? A thin piece of cardboard (like your Rockband box) or folded paper?

I have folded paper, thick enough that you have to press hard to get the battery cover back on.

Solved my problem which was identical to yours.

Try taking de Rookie's advice, that seems to work for a lot of people on the forums.

If the problem persists, you can file an RMA request with EA (http://customersupport.ea.com/loginapp/rockband/rockband_portal.html), since you're within the 60 day warranty.

Lots of times, the batteries are your problem. They're still connected 'enough' for the light but not 'enough' for gameplay. Try the 'stuffing' technique supplied above.
