I just got a second email from EA today that says:
Greetings Rocker,
You recently received an e-mail from us regarding the status of your Rock Band shipment and our offer to also send you a FREE EA GAME. We trust that by this time your guitar has arrived and you’re rocking out!
We are working diligently to create a process to allow you to pick your FREE EA Game. Given that this is by far the busiest month of the year for our customer support team, we are still working out the final details – but we just wanted to let you know that you can expect an email with a list of available EA Titles and how to place your order for your FREE EA Game soon.
We appreciate your patience,
The Rock Band Team at Harmonix, MTV and EA
That is nice and all but, no I still have not received my replacement guitar. 14 days and counting now.
I got that message, too. Though I did get my guitar - it didn't work right either.
Anyway, I tried to barter for a 2nd guitar instead of a game - that'd also didn't work.

I got the 2nd email about an hour ago. I got my guitar Tuesday. It works well so far , though tonight it seemed to start having some issues, though I think the batteries might be on the way out (using the PS3 version). The frets make quite a bit of noise, and its kind of annoying if I just want to play a few songs as a study break, quietly, while my roommate is over at her desk doing work (her "home office" shares a wall with the living room, and the wall has a giant hole cut out, like a windowless-window). But oh well, I hope she enjoys the clickety-clack.

I thought it was mildly amusing that they assume that "...by this time your guitar has arrived and you’re rocking out!" When I have not gotten my delayed guitar (delayed by 15 days now) and now they are telling me that the free game will be delayed also.

They're severly backed up. To make up for this you're getting a free game. Don't be so ungrateful.
They're busting their asses to get out this stuff, and taking the extra effort to make everyone happy.
I applaud the gesture. and while I did not get my guitar yet either I won't complain over a free game.

Yea, chill Eman. I am not complaining about the game, I think it is a great gesture that they didn't have to do. Did anyone say they wew ungrateful. I think you are trying to read to much into what was said. In fact my post up there stars with "I found it midly amusing...."
If you can't find the slight comedic irony that they are sending emails out apologizing for the delay in getting the info to you about the free game that you are getting because of the delay in getting your replacement item then you need to lighten up.

I'm just fine. The point is I don't see the need to post your complaints in this forum.

I think the point is that people from EA and Harmonix read this forum
