I could go on about how their music is poor, but this video here pretty much says it all:

Dude! I was just thinking about this video today at work, and I was planning on posting it tonight. You beat me to the punch.
But yeah, this is so tragically awful and utterly hilarious all at once.
What a terrible, terrible band.
I certainly agree they're a crappy band, and i cant even watch the video cause i dont have quicktime, but i dont need to see it anyway. plus chad looks like a douchebag.

Not that I'm a big supporter of Nickelback or anything, but that is pretty faux:
In 2003, an internet meme known as "How You Remind Me of Someday" or "Nickelback to Back" was created to illustrate the similarities between the songs How You Remind Me and Someday. The songs were edited in many ways, such as the songs being cut to match and one being louder so it sounds like they are both exactly the same.

regardless just listining to a song by itself is torture enough
Ya plus removing the solo from Someday.

dont get me wrong im not a huge fan or anything i have seen them in concert once...long before they became famous.....and they werent bad then....but the only reason they are so popular with ppl is cuz of there catchy lyrics....so teeny boppers are able to listen to them and like it....and in my opinion anything to kill rap music on MTV is a good thing...

I'm sure the editing was merely tempo (beatmatching) and volume, nothing that changes the fact that the songs are almost identical. Plus the guy who made the mashup admitted to the light editing in the first place, so its not like it was big scam.
One thing thats always baffled me is, why aren't Nickleback and all the billions of clones that cludder up rock radio considered Country? I mean the only thing that sets this apart from Country is the lack of a southern accent, and accent shouldn't really determine genre.
