i got bored of guitar hero will i get bored with rock band?

I liked Guitar hero but i got bored of it really quick. I was thinking on getting it but will i get bored of rock band quick. Is it like guitar hero?

What part of Guitar Hero bored you? Rock Band is similar to GH, but it is different in so many ways.

I can tell you from experience that YES you will get bored of it

I got bored of RB faster than GH3 in fact

If I wanted to sing I don't need a game for it

**** playing plastic bass... or real bass for that matter

Over 90% of the songs in the games drums suck and aren't fun to play at all

So basically its guitar hero but with WAY worse of a song list , drums on the side but basically with almost no songs to play since they mostly suck and are completely undesirable to play , and more potential DLC... provided you don't think the DLC is mostly crap (and most of it is)............................................... .................

doubtful it will bore you for a while. I bought it the day it came out and tonight was the first time we had 4 people playing, and I played the drums all on medium for the very first time which was a huge step for me as I can't rub my stomach and pat my head at the same time lol

Lots of challenge and way more DLC than GH2 & GH3 combined with a lot more in the future, and who knows what RB2 will bring to the table down the road?

After Guitar Hero 2, I got bored with the series. Before I learned about Rock Band, I wasn't planning on buying another Guitar Hero game.

I play Rock Band almost every day. If I get stuck on a song or tier on a particular instrument, I pick up the next one. Started on drums, switched to guitar, just started singing. I go online if I want to play bass. My wife and I have a band for BWT when we play together...

If I play drums, I can only get past 1 or 2 songs each day before my eyes go buggy. I tend to fail the first time, then practice a lot, and finally pass it after about 30 minutes.

If I just want to have fun, I'll hop on guitar or bass and just jam without worrying about points.

Rock Band has a lot of variety and keeps me interested every day of the week! Each instrument is a new challenge.

Oh, also, I love almost ALL the songs on the setlist (except for "Detroit Rock City"... the lyrics suck IMO), and most of the songs they have for DLC.

i just played GH3 tonight and got bored of it in less than ten songs, (i have game A.D.D., and gamefly so its a match made in heaven) Rock Band i can play for hours and switch up instruments along the way and it never seems to get old! I love almost all the songs but thats personal opinion, (i'm not much of a metal head) i would def. reccommend this over gh3, way more replayability

Are you being sarcastic?? The drums suck?? I think the drums are amazingly fun, better then guitar for sure(which is still very fun). I have to assume you are joking.

Totally didn't know that. It's just that I heard the first line and, well, that first line didn't make a good first impression. It's odd that they would put a song like that in a major key and make it sound happy... or maybe intentional...

I'm interested to know what the OP and the other poster who mentioned it found "boring" about GH or RB. To each his own, I'm not suggesting that just because I like them everyone should. I just don't understand the word "boring" being connected to them.

Maybe if you never played any song over Easy difficulty, I could see it being boring.

Perhaps the word they were looking for was "difficult" or "demanding", but "boring" sounds cooler.... more aloof.

Again... I couldn't care less if you think it's a stupid game, not for you, not enough blood, whatever. I just can't understand the "boring" part. Please enlighten me.

I have played RB every day since its release for at least an hour. It is not boring me in the slightest. And the awesome weekly DLC will keep it fresh for at least the next year.

Rather than going point by point, I'll just say I completely disagree with everything tmanrocks said in the above quote.
