Exactly. There is no punctuation from EITHER of you.

I'm pretty sure the period and question mark used by the OP count as punctuation. I could be mistaken.

I'm pretty sure almost everyone (more likely everyone) is going to say Dickinson. It's like asking "who's your favorite Beatles drummer? personally I like Ringo".

What about Pete Best? lol

That's why I used that as an example. Who the hell is going to pick Pete Best?

Must we answer this question? It's clear that Iron Maiden won't be crap if it wasn't for Bruce Dickenson. He came in and took a good band and made them a great band.

Adrian Smith.

I disagree.
I ****in' love Paul Di'Anno. I don't love him more than I live Bruce, but I still think Maiden was great and would have been huge with Di'Anno at the helm.

...if anyone picks Blaze...

Paul was great too, but Bruce is Bruce, you can't vote against him. Bruce took them to legendary status. I agree though that they would of had a great run if they kept Paul, but Bruce made them gods of the metal genre.

If only Crimson Saint were here ;)

Personally I like both Paul and Bruce equally, both have their pros and cons and both fit the band perfectly.

Pete Best was more talented than Ringo, but didn't fit the band at all. Also, Paul and John didn't like that the ladies went for him.

Paul. I'm not really into Bruce's singing style.

Bruce. That was a dumb question.

I was going to say I'm tied, but now I'm going to say Di'anno out of spite.

Paul Di'anno

Serious, Blaze was the man, maybe not their best, but he had an awesome voice, and it's not his fault alone that the songs weren't generally as strong as during their classic era. Listen to Blaze live, he's an awesome vocalist.

Well that just goes to show the wide range of potential human opinions. I would say the guy's voice is so atrociously bad I never even got far enough into a song to find out of the writing was any good or not. I shudder just thinking about how bad he sounds. I have no idea why they would have hired him or if he sounds better in other bands, or if it is even his fault or not, just going by what came out of the speakers and into my poor ears.

Paul and Bruce are both great, very different styles of songs/singing I really can't put one ahead of the other. Blaze deserves some respect hes actually not that bad, Adrian has a good voice as well.

...so in other words, your favorite drummer was Ringo? Unless you really think talent is more important than fitting the music...

so he can't like someone's drumming independent of whether or not it fit with the music of a certain band?

...but that's not really the question. The question would be "what is your favorite Beatles drummer?", not "which drummer that was in the Beatles is better?" Elton John is a better singer than James Hetfield; would he make a better Metallica singer? You have to take their work in the context of the band it was asked relative to.

Better is the same thing as best, only if references exactly two things.

It could mean either, it's a vague wording, the question isn't specifically, "which drummer do you think was stongest in the context of their work with the band?"
