Let's play "what's wrong with this picture?"
Hint: The song has over 1000 notes.

We missed the same damn note >_>

I'm still baffled.

Wow! Thats amazing for the two of you to miss the same exact note. What are the odds of that?

1 in 1000?

But seriously, that is pretty sweet.

This is just a guess but i'd say its likely a poorly charted note. It happens from time to time. For the most part Harmonix does a flawless job of charting notes but occasionally there are ones that are just oddly placed and dont feel or flow naturally.

Haha, good thing I searched, I almost missed this thread, and was about to post about it! Here's the same screenshot from my end, for no reason at all (little clearer though):

I posted about it on my site:

Here's what I posted regarding that:

It wasn't even an off-beat note or anything! It was almost at the very end of the song (the 986th note, not sure how many there are total). I know I hit it, and he said he hit it too, so what's up? Either both our drums happened to glitch on us at the same time, or the game glitched. Crazy.

Yay, I'm mentioned in a blog somewhere! I'm moving up in the world >_>

1 in 1000?

That's incorrect. Assuming there are exactly 1000 notes total, for the sake of simplicity, there's a 1/1000 chance of randomly selecting a "chosen" note. But we BOTH missed the same note, which would be:

1/1000 * 1/1000 = 1 in 1,000,000!

However, that probability is only if we CHOSE to only miss one note! But we didn't, we *accidentally* each missed only one note, and it was the same note. We could have missed more notes. So there's the probability that we each missed one note only, and the probability that it was the same note, and the probability that we were playing against each other when it happened, and.... [insert head spinning emoticon]

Actually, the chances of missing the same note in a scenario like that would be 1 in 1000, assuming you both intentionally missed one random note. You can't count the first 1 in 1000. It's one in a million that you would both miss that one exact note.

However, the probability of two people skilled enough to hit 100% of the notes except for one meeting each other, then both unintentionally missing the same note is roughly equivalent to the probability of a tornado blowing through Fred Sanford's junkyard and leaving behind a fully assembled 2008 Land Rover.

Frank Sanford? Man, you are truly dating yourself there! :)

Nevertheless guys! Congratulations on the achievement! Independent of the incident...99% on anything is something to be proud of.

^ That's a 99% to be proud of. This was just a fluke ;)

Ah yes, you're right. It felt like there was something I was overlooking.

Weird... Why do the names show differently between the two screenshots? Is it because one person is in widescreen or a different resolution? The "CRG" in Tommy Gun's name gets gut off on Tommy's, and the "babi" gets cut off on Shoom's...

Lawl.

Those are character names. You always view the opponent by Gamertag, while on your screen, you see the character that you chose. Our characters just happen to be shortened versions of our Gamertags.

how can you chart the drums wrong? There's little left to interpretation.
