Ok, my strumbar decided it didn't want to strum down anymore. So I watched the YouTube video of the dude taking apart his guitar and fixing it with masking tape. Problem is the 360 guitar insides look nothing like the PS3 guitar insides. Has anyone got a video or permanent fix for the 360 guitar?

I saw someone put a YouTube video on how to fix the guitar by tightening screws inside, I opened my guitar (I had avoided doing this to not void a warranty but given my replacement order has once again been misplaced I have no choice) but that wasnt the issue. The issue is the metal strips that interact when you strike the strum both up and down. As strange as this may sound, I took a piece of that free Hitman ticket that I received in a DVD (not the ticket but a attachment of it) and cut a small piece about 1 centimeter high and 4 cm long. I folded it three times and placed it between the plastic molding and the metal strip to make it move closer the other strip thus permitting a better response. I put the guitar back together but only used some of the screws (there a a LOT) and tested the thing. After finally surviving Enter Sandman, Highway star on Medium (I know, i sux) as well as Green Grass and others, I opened the guitar to check the strip and it was still firmly in place and the guiter is working fine, If you really pissed off and have some skill with a scissors and screwdriver, I recommend giving this a try. It sure beats having to send in your better looking guitar and get a "used" one in return.

SEND IT BACK

Yes still send it back! The reason being that the chipset and board will fail eventually. EA knows this as the other problem besides the strum mechanism. As such the guitar is on third generation and the strum mechanism and board/chipset have been redesigned and replaced.

If you do void the warranty.. you might not get another one for free. So send it back. Unless you know alot about electronic plastic guitars and such :P
