After about a 2 week delay I got my replacement guitar in the mail. Same model number as the original and same problems with the downstrum. I thought they were sending out updated hardware models; but I guess not.

The question now is, do I go through the website and get another replacement or do I need to contact customer service directly? How can I get a guitar that actually WORKS?

void your warranty and fix it your self. the problem isnt the contacts or the stum bar or anything everyone has been saying its that the pad behind the microswitch is too small and when you strum the far contact is being bent because the pad isnt behind it, after lets say 2 hours of play the contact is bent out of reach and the two contacts cant touch. push the contact back forward and place some tape or movie ticket peices or something behind it to increase the size of the pad. the guitar will now play better then it was new. also there have been some cases that the screw holding the microswitch was loose. do not twist it. push it back to its origninal postion and tighten the screw, then increase the size of the pad. easy simple fix. but this is only if you want to void your warrenty I did and im glad I did because the new magnet strumer has been having problems too.
