This might have been asked before I'm not sure... but anyway I'm in canada and getting a little sick of waiting but I found one place that has just the game only for the same price. What I'm wondering is does the Guitar Hero 3 Les Paul work with the game, and can I just use the XBL wired headset in conjunction with it to say play two parts at once?
Let me know thanks... becuase if that's the case then I could totally wait till the drumset comes out seperatly later on. Since I really don't need two guitars anyway.
Any help would be great.

If you're buying the 360 version yes the Les Paul should work, also I think the headset will work as well, though I have problems when I use my Les Paul and mic together but it could just be mine.

Yes, the GH3 Les Paul will work with RB (I can vouch for this strongly, as I've been using mine while waiting for my replacement Strat), and you can use the headset as a mic. But you need to connect the headset through the regular controller. You also must sing as a seperate band member if you want to play and sing at the same time.
What I've been doing is make sure I'm wearing pants with large pockets (carpenter pants work well) and put the handheld controller in my left front pocket. Keeping the right side of the controller sticking out of the pocket gives you access to the A,B,X and Y buttons.

Another thing worth noting is that while the XBL headset works, if you want to get off Easy difficulty you may need a real USB mike. The XBL headset's audio quality is terrible and precision vocals need a precision instrument.
Problem is, I don't know of any USB mikes that work with the game. HMX claimed any one would work but every one I've tested so far doesn't, even ones from past HMX games (karaoke revolution). So you may need to wait until the RB mike is sold separately to really get your scream on.

Basically just adding onto what HeXcoda said:
To detail why you may want a real mic when I use the XBL headset the problem I personally ran into is it won't always pick up what you're saying and when it does there's some lag. The sound is distorted too causing a failure in recognition in the game therefore causing a flat out failure overall.
