I can confirm that it doesn't work. I can also confirm that if you are somewhat efficient at medium it will only take a day or so to unlock most of the content anyway in a solo tour mode. The wife and I did it last night and if wasn't for getting hung up with GGHT on drums, we'd be done by now.
