Online play question...

I've been playing Band Quickplay and notice that sometimes there will be three people playing (I'm on bass) and when the song starts, you hear the first note from the lead guitarist and then nothing else for the whole song. The notes don't explode when they hit the bar at the bottom. Is this some type of cheat or does the game remove an instrument if the connection is bad?

It's really weird but it's happened to me all three times I've played today.

I was going to say it's a connection thing, but there's one person in particular who i can't hear every time i play with them, so I don't really know >_>
