What Kart Racing game is better, Mario Kart or Modnation Racers?

Even though not playing Mod Nation Racers doesn't really help. The concept of it seem better than Mario Kart. And yes, I'm talking Concept of the game(s). Not the game(s) themselves. That was the whole point of this thread.

Mario Kart:
Mushroom Kingdom People
Pre-Made Tracks
Pre-Made Karts

Mod Nation Racers:
Customizable People
Customizable Cars
Customizable Tracks


That's what makes a game more fun, customizing everything!

Now don't get me wrong, I loved Mario Kart. But nothing really ever changes besides a few new tracks, characters and with the Wii game, more karts. But that concept gets old, fast.

Mario Kart needs to be more creative. They've had that same exact concept for 4 games already. (Super Nintendo, Game Boy Advance, N64 and Wii). Double Dash was actually creative, sorta.

It means that people will have a better time being able to do whatever you want. What I'm saying is we already know what game gives you better options. Hell, one of the reasons Excitebike was so fun was because you could make your own customizable tracks.

We know Mario Kart gives us the same, but we go back because it's just a fun kart game. If Mario Kart gave us the chance to make our own levels, then it would be in a league of it's own.

Yeah, the concepts of making your own tracks and sharing them or playing a set number of already made tracks. Of course Modnation sounds better. The only thing Mario kart has over it is that it's tracks are wackier! than modnation's.

Why not? Co-op multiplayer is becoming a genre in and of itself...

...much to the detriment of actual story-driven gameplay, but meh. Why sell one copy when you can sell a copy to one person, who then cons three of his friends into buying copies as well just so the first guy can actually have his gaming experience? :)
