Hey lads and chicks, good to be back soz second thread 2nd day but this is off topic to my other thread so a new one was in order.

Firstly, before I really got into guitar, I got some old Zeiss Ikon bass. But now it wont work through an amp, though I'm not asking bout that, I know people who can sort that out. What I'm after is I would really like a bass where i could put my personal touch to.

So...

Any recommendations on some pickups?

Also is there such things as like say stick on guitar makeup or w.e. I would love a simple yellow star red background look on my guitar. Any websites wear you can design something like a real-life guitar faceplate in a way XD

Thx all.

EDIT: To paint it on surely wouldn't be too difficult so any compatible paints?

Painting a guitar is alot more work than its worth, you have to strip it down and remove all the electronic components from the inside, best off just buying one with a design you like.

Well I've never actually painted a guitar but my friend has told me it costs more to paint it than the cost of an average guitar.

Couldnt i like get a template, cover up the pickups/other methods of entry and spraypaint my precious red star?
