View Full Version : PS3 "PS Button" Bug On Peripherals

When I hit the "PS Button" on my drums or guitar, I can use the D-Pad to move up and down that PS3 menu (it does appear), but I can't do ANYTHING else. I can't hit the PS button to get out, I can't hit X, ?, ? or ? to do anything, I can ONLY move the 'cursor' up and down, and I have to instead use a normal PS3 controller. Can someone fix this with a patch? It's quite annoying when I go to turn my system off with my drumkit and instead have to reach for a regular controller.

Update: So just today when I went to shut off my PS3, I could use my drums. It worked flawlessly.
So it seems this issue is sporadic at best. Has anyone else had this problem, EVER? If so, please reply so I know I'm not the only one.

i'll give it a try on mine and see if i have the same problem - hitting the green pad to confirm does not work also?

ive never had a problem with the drums or guitar. the thing i dont like is how my regular six axis is assigned as controller 3. so if i swap discs and try play something like cod4, i have to reassign the controller as #1 before i can play.

Everything works as it should for me.

Works for me.... tried unplugging and replugging the drums? Maybe it's just a bad connection. Could be just bad hardware, too. I don't think it's a software issue, however, since it works for others.
